Shakespeares play, Loves Labours Lost is not often performed yet this summer San Diego audiences will have the opportunity to see two very different versions. KPBS film reviewer Beth Accomando has this late breaking news.

Hollywood Headlines. Although hes been dead for centuries, William Shakespeare is once again a hot proptery in Tinseltown. The Bards Hamlet, Othello and Loves Labours Lost have all been optioned for movies this summer. Kenneth Branagh, renowned British stage actor and director, has once again proven his passion for bringing Shakespeare to the silver screen with an all singing, all dancing adaptation of Loves Labours Lost. Plus, San Diego audiences can have an opportunity later this summer to see Roger Rees stage version of the same play at the Old Globe Theater. What a treat for Bardolators!
