Activist recognized for work in domestic violence

Ashley Walker remembers when the San Diego Police Department had no protocols and procedures in dealing with domestic violence. Thanks to her help, the SDPD has one of the largest specialized Domestic Violence Units in the country.
- Ashley Walker , one of the 2006 inductees to the San Diego Women's Hall of Fame. She spearheaded the domestic violence movement in San Diego over 20 years ago. She is the executive director of the Human Relations Commission for the City of San Diego.
