- Bob Chandler . Co-author of "Bob Chandler's Tales from the San Diego Padres." He worked as one of the broadcast voices of the Padres for more than 30 years, and has been covering the San Diego sports scene since the early 1960s.
- Bill Swank . A San Diego baseball historian, and co-author of "Tales from the San Diego Padres." He has authored or co-authored six previous books including "Echoes from Lane Field," and most recently "Baseball in San Diego: From Plaza to Petco."
