What do we want from a city?



Host Tom Fudge speaks to Professor Janet Smarr about UCSD's new lecture series titled "The City." The lecture series will ask, "How do we envision the city, and how have those images changed across time and place?" We also talk to Professor Teddy Cruz about his lecture on creating a border community.

  • Janet Smarr . Director of the Center for Humanities at UCSD. She is the leading organizer for "The City" lecture series.
  • Teddy Cruz . Associate Professor of Public Culture in UCSD's Visual Arts Department. His lecture titled "Border Cities: Tactics of Encroachment" will take place on Thursday, April 20th at 7:30pm.
