Court ruling could jeopardize SDSU expansion

A court ruling against the California State University system could jeopardize future growth at San Diego State. The state Supreme Court yesterday ruled the CSU system must pay for roads, sewers and water pipes when it expands its Monterey Bay campus.

Officials say the ruling is a major defeat for CSU and will likely lead to an overhaul of San Diego State's expansion plans which are already the subject of three lawsuits. At issue are disputes similar to those in the Monterey Bay case.
