It's possible that smokers will not be able to light up anywhere within the walls of Qualcomm Stadium in the near future. The San Diego City Council tentatively approved an ordinance prohibiting smoking inside the home of the Chargers.
Instead, smokers will be directed to areas where they can leave the stadium but stay within a secure perimeter. Another ordinance bans the possession of glass bottles at Qualcomm's parking lot. Both ordinances will be taken up again in September.
