Gov. candidate Angelides visits SD to endorse Jessica’s Law

California Democratic nominee for governor Phil Angelides was in San Diego Tuesday to give his endorsement of Proposition 83. Proposition 83 is on the November ballot. Also known as Jessica's Law, it would increase penalties on convicted sex offenders.

In fact, Angelides says Proposition 83 restrictions do not go far enough to protect the innocent.
Angelides: I will act to make sure that sexual predators cannot loiter around schools, around nursing homes, around parks other places where the most vulnerable are located.
Angelides says he would require lifetime probation or parole for serious first-time and repeat offenders who target children.

Angelides' remarks were meant to one-up his Republican opponent Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger who also endorsed Proposition 83.
