San Diego Blood Bank warns of critical shortage

Host Tom Fudge talks with Lynn Stedd, Community Relations Director for the San Diego Blood bank about the inadequate supply of blood in San Diego County. They discuss the continuing need of public awareness and participation, and the impact low blood supplies can have on the general public. Tom Fudge asks about the role the Blood Bank would play in a disaster situation.
The San Diego Blood Bank hosts a blood drive on Monday, July 31st at the Manchester Grand Hyatt at One Market Place in downtown San Diego. Call (619) 232-1234 Ext. 4048 to schedule an appointment. The event is open to the public.
