The Navy Broadway redevelopment project promises to transform San Diego's bay front. But public controversy is brewing over the high rise towers developer Doug Manchester plans to build on the 15 acre site.
In the first of two interviews on the issue, we hear from one vocal critic of the project, Peter Q. Davis. Davis is the former chairman of the Port District and of the Center City Development Corporation, or CCDC.
KPBS reporter Alison St John asked Davis why the project is such a vital redevelopment site for San Diego.
