Would the proposed Sunrise Powerlink help or hurt San Diego?

A massive, multi-billion dollar project is in the works to help deliver much needed energy to San Diego. Proponents say that the Sunrise Powerlink is essential to meet California energy requirements and the growing need for power, while opponents say that there are other ways to get the job done without the costly environmental and financial impact.
- Julie Gill is spokeswoman for Cal-ISO , the California Independent System Operator.
- Bill Powers is chair of the Border Power Plant Working Group . He is also Principal of Powers Engineering.
