The San Diego Airport Authority has picked Miramar Marine Corps Air Station as its choice for a new commercial airport site. Guest host Alison St. John speaks with Major General Lehnert, commanding general of the Marine Corps Installation West, to find out why he says this is "fundamentally incompatible" with what the military does.

  • Major General Michael Lehnert is the commanding general for Marine Corps Installations West. He is responsible for seven Marine Corps bases and air stations west of the Mississippi - including Camp Pendleton and Miramar Air Station.
