The San Diego Symphony will kick off its 2006 season this weekend with a 4th of July concert. KPBS Radio's Maureen Cavanaugh sits down with Pops conductor Matthew Garbutt to discuss the season's highlights, which will include performances by artists as diverse as Frankie Valli, Ricky Skaggs, and Peking acrobats.
