New class focuses on surf culture

Southern California's surf culture is rich and fascinating. A local professor created the first university class that examines surf culture, from lingo to the Aloha philosophy. Host Tom Fudge speaks with the professor about the new class.
- Jerome Hall , an anthropology professor at University of San Diego. He developed and teaches a course on Surfing Culture and History. He is also an underwater archaeologist. Jane Schmauss , acting director and co-founder of the California Surf Museum in Oceanside.
