Two local teachers receive prestigious awards

It's not everyday that teachers are awarded an extra $10,000 for doing their jobs, but that's exactly what happened to two educators in San Diego. St. Claire Adriann teaches math to sixth graders at KIPP Adelante Prep school and Carmen Munnelly is an eighth grade history teacher at De Portola Middle school. They were selected from more than 75,000 teachers across the country for their creative approach to education. KPBS Morning Anchor Dwane Brown spoke with Carmen Munnelly about the Disney Teacher Award and how she gets her students excited about learning history.
