Veterans not receiving post-traumatic stress treatment

Less than one in four veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan who show signs of post-traumatic stress are being referred for treatment. A new report from the Government Accountability Office says the Defense Department is falling short. KPBS Reporter Kenny Goldberg has the story.

Cross' 17-year legal battle stems from religious roots

People gathered at the Mount Soledad Cross Monday to remember this nation's fallen soldiers. The symbol has fueled a seventeen year legal battle. KPBS Reporter Joanne Faryon explains, the cross's arduous past is marked by vandalism, violent weather and even the Ku Klux Klan.
