Salton Sea Celebrates 100 Years
Visitors and residents of Imperial County are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Salton Sea this weekend. An open house includes field tours and pontoon boat rides. But whether the Salton Sea survives another 100 years is uncertain. KPBS Reporter Ed Joyce has more.

Civil Rights Group Files Lawsuit Against Escondido
A consortium of human rights organizations and attorneys has banded together to fight Escondidos recent housing ordinance, which penalizes landlords who rent to illegal immigrants. Reporter Rebecca Tolin talks with the plaintiffs attorney about the lawsuit, and request for injunction, to prevent the ordinance from going into effect November 17th.
