NHA Makes Comeback; Now in Full Compliance with Gov't Standards

Maureen Cavanaugh (Guest Host): The Neighborhood House Association (NHA) is a non-profit agency that operates a variety of social service programs in the area, including the Head Start program. Early last year, the NHA came under fire after a government review revealed a number of deficiencies with San Diego's Head Start program, among them, that some funding had been improperly used and that the program was unable to keep track of all of the children enrolled in Head Start.

As you might imagine, the program was told to clean up its act before another review would be conducted. Just last week, results from that follow-up review were announced and here to tell us more about that is Michael Kemp, senior vice president and COO of the Neighborhood House Association.
