Weekend Preview: Randy Travis, Bollywood Films, John Purlia's Photographs

We've got a weekend of Bollywood films to recommend, an exhibit of kitschy photographs, and country singer Randy Travis comes to town.

Tom Fudge: Randy Travis and Bollywood movies are among the things on the schedule of events this weekend. Joining me for the weekend preview are Troy Johnson and Kinsee Morlan.

There will be an opening for John Purlia'ssolo show, which is called Wind-up Dreams and Vinyl Nightmares , this Saturday night (September 1 ^st ) at 7 p.m. at Pannikin Cafe in La Jolla.

The Bollywood films screen this weekend at the Ultra Star theaters in Del Mar. You can go to www.goldspiritfilms.com for more information.

Randy Travis plays tonight at Viejas in Alpine. Showtime is at 8 p.m.

Damien Jurado plays with Okkervil River at the Casbah on Monday (September 3 ^rd ) night.
