The Hacienda Brothers Perform Western Soul Music

We’ll talk with two of the Hacienda Brothers about their particular brand of country music called western soul. The band performs songs from their new album “What's Wrong with Right.”

The Hacienda Brothers Perform Western Soul Music

Tom Fudge:  This Saturday night, a different kind of Country Western band takes the stage at the Belly Up Tavern.  The Hacienda Brothers are a band that mixes the sounds of country and the sounds of soul music. In fact, their two CDs were produced by legendary R&B record producer Dan Penn.

Two members of the band live here in San Diego.  And they'll be joining me just a little later to chat and to perform some live music.  But first, here's a tune from the band's latest album.  In fact, it's the CD's title track, “ What Wrong with Right .”
