Capital Hill Update: Immigration, Alberto Gonzales, Tuberculosis

Alan Ray (Guest Host): It's been said more than once that politics makes strange bedfellows. When you consider the politics of immigration reform, what you get is an absolute orgy of odd alliances. Senators Boxer and Feinstein can't agree. The president can sell his plan to business, but it's not going down so well with his conservative base. Republicans side with some Democrats. Some Democrats side with other Republicans.

If you thought Rubik's Cube or the Gordian knot were challenges, try sorting out immigration reform.

But there's more going on in D.C. than just a little immigration reform. There's a move in the Senate toward a "no confidence" vote on Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. There's the tuberculosis patient who flew all over the world and there's news of an incredible plot to blow up jet fuel lines leading to J.F.K. Airport in New York.
