Alan Ray (Guest Host): Sitting around the house on Sunday afternoon, listening to John Cruz -- nice stuff, a little laid back, as you might expect an Island guy to be.
Then a line of lyrics caught me, "Sittin' here in limbo like a bird without a song." So I started the CD again, listening more closely, John Cruz has some things to say.
Indeed, he's already won a Grammy. Jackson Brown says, "He's one of the best." John Cruz toured nationally, opening for another island guy, Jack Johnson. So, I'm a bit late to the game.
Cruz plays at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach tonight (Monday, June 4 th ) at 8 p.m.
