Mayor Lieutenant’s Sudden Departure Leaves Questions in Wake

Former Navy Rear Admiral Ronne Froman was Jerry Sanders' second-in-command for a year-and-a-half. She resigned from her position as the city's chief operating officer last week, and City Hall watchers were taken aback by her very early departure.
She never liked or mastered the political side of running city hall, but she discovered decisions would have to be made through a political filter. Some say she was in over her head from the start; some say bringing her in was the best thing Sanders did.
