He was talking about climate change in the eighties, before it was politically correct. Now Ron Sims is getting national attention for local solutions to global warming. As the Executive of King County, where Seattle is based, Sims is arguably Washington State's second most important elected official. He's undertaken an ambitious agenda to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and prepare for the predicted weather extremes ahead.
