We know Kitty Dukakis as the wife of former governor and presidential candidate Michael Dukakis. Not so well known is Mrs. Dukakis' 20-year bout with disabling depression. She used alcohol and drugs for relief. But nothing worked until she turned to a radical idea: electroconvulsive therapy, or, ECT.
