Sports Reporter Profiles Major Steroid Bust in San Diego

Tom Fudge: Yesterday U.S. law enforcement authorities announced the results of "Operation Raw Deal," which they're calling the biggest steroids bust ever. Steroids are illegally bought and sold to enhance performance of athletes. Yesterday's police action involved 120 arrests. It targeted suspects and labs in ten countries and involved an international team of law enforcement officials.

San Diego's U.S. Attorney Karen Hewitt was one of the officials who held a press conference yesterday. San Diego officials have been involved in what's called “Operation Gear Grinder,” which targeted a ring of Mexican steroid manufacturers.
