Tom Fudge: Today the San Diego city council is expected to discuss a proposal that deputy city attorneys be made classified civil servants. It's an effort to protect the jobs of the City Attorney's legal staff, and make them professional bureaucrats rather than political appointees. Also, do you have the right to free speech on the Internet? Not if the organization trying to censor you is a privately-owned Internet provider.
