Supreme Court Reaffirms FCC's Indecent Speech Policy

KPBS legal analysts discusses religion in the classroom, fleeting expletives in broadcasting and what Justice Souter's retirement will mean to the Supreme Court.
Maureen Cavanaugh: Less than six months into his term of office, President Barack Obama is about to appoint a nominee to the US Supreme Court. Even though this appointment is not expected to shift the ideological balance of the court, the significance of appointing a new justice to a lifetime term is hard to overestimate. We'll hear who the president is considering and why.
But first, our legal update begins with a loss for an Orange County high school teacher.
