The SoCal Water$mart and Save A Buck rebate programs will be offered until the money runs out or the end of next May, whichever comes first.

Carlos Michelon with the San Diego County Water Authority says people should take advantage of the money-saving incentives before the funding runs out.

"High-efficiency toilets $50, high-efficiency clothes washers $100, weather-based irrigation controllers for a home, $80," Michelon says.

He says residents in the Water Authority's service area can apply for rebates on those items through the SoCal Water$mart program.

The Save A Buck program is available to water agency customers who own or manage commercial, industrial and institutional facilities or multi-family properties.

Those rebates include the same items as the residential rebate program and some additional devices.
