This past Saturday, the San Diego Shakespeare Society held it's 5th Annual San Diego Student Shakespeare Festival in Balboa Park. Hundreds of students performed selections from the Bard. Here are some highlights.
Below is a montage of three selections from "Macbeth." Common Ground Theatre Academy served up a kind of voodoo "Macbeth;" Carlsbad High gave us a more classic interpretation; and Festival players just had fun with it.
And here are some more highlights from the six stages at Balboa Park. The students were amazing with so many great performances. Kudos to the teachers and parents as well for their support and hard work.
Once again I am thankful for the work the San Diego Shakespeare Society does to keep the Bard alive and well for another generation.
