Shahri Estakhry is the founder of the Iranian School of San Diego, which works to assist Iranian-American youths to be proud of their heritage by educating them about Iranian culture and the Persian language. Estakhry also co-founded the Persian Cultural Center of San Diego, renowned for its outstanding performing arts and education programs.
In addition, she developed the Iranian-American Scholarship Fund to benefit students of Iranian heritage, who exhibit academic excellence. And Estakhry created the Dollar-a-Month Fund, a non-profit charity that has helped improve the living conditions of disadvantaged children around the globe.
