Smuggling Boat Capsizes, One Dead

One person is dead after the small boat smuggling him and at least fourteen others from Mexico to the United States capsized. The boat went over in heavy surf at Torrey Pines State Beach.

Six people were injured, two seriously, when a heavily-loaded 20-foot panga, carrying 23 people, made a crash landing at Torrey Pines State Beach today, authorities said.
