San Diego State University professor Dr. Forest Rohwer's recent book "Coral Reefs In the Microbial Seas" gives evidence linking pollution and bacteria to coral reef health.
We've been hearing for quite some time that the ocean's coral reefs are in trouble. Now a new book diagnoses the problems with the reefs down to the microbial level. It's a science book that not only explains the research being conducted, but tells stories about the way it was conducted. We meet the scientists, enjoy their camaraderie and adventures, all while learning to understand the precarious situation faced by the world's coral reefs.
