YESTERDAY VETERANS FOR PEACE BROUGHT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY TO SAN DIEGO. PEGGY SAYS A DISPLAY OF 1300 CROSSES IS CALLED ARLINGTON WEST

Reporter: THERE IS GROUP CALLED VETERANS FOR PEACE CALLED THE ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY WEST.

THIS IS THE WAY TO SHOW THE HUMAN COST OF THIS WAR.

Reporter: ARMY VETERAN, DEBORAH SNIDER A VOLUNTEER WITH VETERANS FOR PEACE, EXPLAINS THE MEMORIAL REPRESENTS A BIG LOSS. 7266 INJURED IN THE AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ WARS SO FAR.

MANY ARE QUITE YOUNG. THEY HAVE GONE DIRECTLY OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. THEN LOST THEIR LIVES IN THESE CONFLICTS. NOW WE HAVE SOLDIERS WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND PTSD.

Reporter: TWO SMALL FLAGS AND FOOT HIGH WOODEN CROSSES, STAR OF DAVID, ISLAMIC CROSSES, BUDDHIST WHEEL AND HINDU SYMBOL.

I HAVE HAD SEVERAL FRIENDS KILLED IN WAR. THESE KIND OF ACT AS A TESTIMONY TO THE SOULS THAT HAVE GONE BEFORE US.

Reporter: A MARINE FOR 27 YEARS HAPPENED BY THE MEMORIAL AND LIKED IT.

ANY TIME YOU BRING ATTENTION TO THE SOULS THAT ARE PASSED IT SHOULD BE IN AN HONORABLE WAY.

NO ONE KNOWS THE PROBLEMS OF WAR BETTER THAN THE PEOPLE THAT ARE IN IT RIGHT NOW.
