Two Camp Pendleton-Based Marines Killed In Afghanistan

The Pentagon today announced the combat deaths of two Camp Pendleton-based Marines in Afghanistan.

Sgt. Adan Gonzales Jr., 28, of Bakersfield, and Sgt. Joshua J. Robinson, 29, of Omaha, Neb., died Sunday in Helmand province, the Defense Department

reported.

Both men were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
