Above: Additional cuts to higher education could have an adverse affect on California's thriving biotech industry, where the average salary starts at about $80,000 a year. The state's Lieutenant Governor says state cuts are making it harder to recruit qualified applicants to compete on a global scale. He was the keynote speaker today at a medical innovation conference in San Diego.
