"Bob Hope: Hollywood's Brightest Star" is an affectionate portrait of one of America’s most beloved entertainers, whose career spanned from Vaudeville and Broadway, to radio, film and television.
The program is hosted by Les Brown, Jr., son of Bob Hope’s bandleader of 49 years, and includes interviews with Larry Gelbart, the creator of "MASH" and one of Hope’s first writers. Les Brown, Sr., Hy Averback, announcer and actor on Hope’s radio and TV shows, and Hope himself also lend their voices to the program.
