“KPBS Celebrates: Masquerade de Venezia” brings together more than 200 friends and supporters for a special celebration of public media. The gala also honors the 2011 KPBS “Hall of Fame” inductees: Gloria Penner, Danah Fayman, and Dick and Carol Hertzberg.
Our Venetian masquerade ball takes place at The Lodge at Torrey Pines on Saturday, October 29, 2011. Mark L. Walberg, the host of PBS’ “Antiques Roadshow” is our event emcee, guiding us into a realm of pageantry, mystery and sheer revelry.
6:30 p.m. Cocktail Reception and Silent Auction
8:00 p.m. Seated Dinner, created by Chef Jeff Jackson
Hall of Fame Ceremony
Live Auction by Richard Houk
9:30 p.m. Themed performance from San Diego State University’s Opera Theater
10:00 p.m. Dancing and music from the “Soultones”

Last year’s KPBS Celebrates Gala was a sell-out. Don’t miss this year’s event. Tickets are $500 each or $5000 for table of 10. Recognition and special benefits are available to honorary committee members and event sponsors.
