Widow of Camp Pendleton Marine Finds Comfort in Blogging

The term “widow” might bring to mind an elderly woman with gray hair, one who shared a lifetime with the man she loved before losing him. But Oceanside resident Katie Wade became a widow at the tender age of 20. At a time when most young women are still making the transition from adolescence to adulthood, Katie had to bury her husband of less than two years. Chad Wade was killed in Afghanistan on December 1, 2010. (Read more)
