The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is looking into the death of 19-year-old Lance Cpl. Mario Arias, who was found dead in his barracks at Camp Pendleton on Saturday. The Los Angeles Times reports the Canoga Park native was assigned to the Marine Light Attack Helicopter Training Squadron 303, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.
