Sheriff's homicide detectives in Borrego Springs today were investigating the deaths of a couple as a possible murder-suicide.
A sheriff's lieutenant said no suspects were being sought.
Someone asked deputies to check on the residents in a home in the 2000 block of Saint Thomas Drive about 6:15 p.m. Monday, sheriff's Lt. Larry Nesbit said. The man's body was found on a couch in the living room, and the woman's body was in the kitchen, he said.
An autopsy was pending. Deputies withheld their names.
