A brush fire along Interstate 15 in the Rancho Bernardo area caused the closure of the southbound lanes of West Rancho Bernardo Road this afternoon.

The fire broke out at about 1:40 p.m. Firefighters knocked the fire out by 2:30 p.m.
The fire burned three acres. No injuries or structural damage were reported.
