Four Navy helicopter crew members are in the hospital this morning after their MH-60R Seahawk helicopter made a “hard landing” at Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego.

According to the Associated Press, the Seahawk was taking part in routine training at NAS North Island when it made the hard landing at about 11 p.m. Wednesday night.

All four crew members suffered injuries that required hospitalization as a result of the hard landing, although the Navy hasn't commented on the extent of those injuries. Two of the injured crew were taken to UC San Diego Medical Center after the accident, and the other two to Scripps Mercy Hospital.
