A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck Northern California at 1:07 p.m. on Monday, at a depth of 19.9 miles, according to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The epicenter was 31 miles from Eureka and 218 miles from Sacramento.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.
