San Diego Alumni Pay

UC San Diego announced today that it ranks eighth among state colleges in the United States with the highest wage potential for graduates, according to a report by PayScale, a firm that compiles compensation information.

The starting median annual salary for a UCSD graduate is $48,200, according to the report. The mid-career median yearly wage was $96,700.

"One of the greatest measures of a university is the quality of its graduates," said Armin Afsahi, executive director of UC San Diego Alumni Affairs. "Our alumni are not only going on to achieve great success, they are also advancing their communities, creating jobs and building our economy."
