"Believing the Lie" is the latest in the Inspector Lynley series written by Seattle author Elizabeth George. KPBS viewers are very familiar with the series, which has appeared off and on on Masterpiece Mystery and stars Nathaniel Parker as DI Lynley and Sharon Small as his partner, Sergeant Havers.
Elizabeth George talks about her decision to set her mystery novels in Britain, her writing process and how her characters have changed over the years.

I am a hugh fan of Lynley novels and I must say that I just hated to read about his affair with his "gov". She is nothing like Helen or Deborah and I could not believe that he would even want to be with her in a relationship. Perhaps it is a part of his grief, but I still don't like it.
