Inspector Morse is a character from the detective novels by British author Colin Dexter. John Thaw stars as this most unlikely detective in the massively popular, award-winning television series of murder mysteries. Inspector Morse is a gentle romantic, out of shape, craving good beer, classical music, and difficult crossword puzzles. But aided by trusted sidekick Sergeant Lewis (Kevin Whately), Morse still gets the job done.

Widely acclaimed by critics, the series attracts millions of viewers worldwide. Oxford's most famous export, the unique character of Inspector Endeavour Morse, has proven to be one of the world's most popular detective dramas.

"Absolute Conviction, Parts One & Two" air at 9 p.m. & 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 14 - In these episodes, Morse and Lewis investigate the affairs of three people in prison for fraud, when one of them is murdered, and they are surprised by what they find at HMP Farnleigh, an open prison. Then someone tries to kill one of the two surviving fraudsters.
