AUSTIN CITY LIMITS continues its longstanding tradition of showcasing the best of original American music. Musical styles range from contemporary and traditional pop to rock, country, blues, bluegrass, Latin, folk, roots and more. All find a home on the AUSTIN CITY LIMITS stage. Recipient of a Peabody Award for 37 years of excellence.
"Dave Matthews Band" - In this episode, rock superstars the Dave Matthews Band perform hits and songs from their album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King." The song list includes: "Funny the Way It Is," "Spaceman," "Squirm," "Lying in the Hands of God," "Seven," "Gravedigger," "Shake Me Like a Monkey," "Sister," "You and Me" and "Why I Am."
The musicians joining Dave Matthews on stage for this performance include Carter Beauford on drums, vocals; Jeff Coffin on saxophone, flute; Stefan Lessard on bass guitar; Dave Matthews on guitar, lead vocal; Tim Reynolds on guitar; Rashawn Ross on brass, vocals; and Boyd Tinsley on strings, vocals.
