Panetta: Ex-Navy SEAL Broke Promise He Made To Country (Video)

On the 11th anniversary of 9/11, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta spoke out against the ex-Navy SEAL who wrote a book about taking down the man who was responsible for the terrorist attacks.

Panetta appeared on CBS This Morning today to talk about No Easy Day: The Firsthand Account of the Mission That Killed Osama Bin Laden. The book was written by former Navy SEAL Mark Bissonnette, under the pen name Mark Owen.

Panetta told CBS This Morning:

"There's no question that the American people have a right to know about this operation. But people who are a part of that operation, who commit themselves to the promise that they will not reveal the sensitive operations and not public anything ... when they fail to do that, we have got to make sure that they stand by the promise that they made to this country."

I've posted the entire Panetta interview at the top of this post.

Last week, Pentagon spokesman George Little told reporters Bissonnette breached national security by publishing his book about the Osama bin Laden raid without getting it vetted first by the Department of Defense.
