Investigators seized 11 guns at the boy's home but authorities say all were locked away and he couldn't have accessed them.

U-T San Diego says the family issued a statement Monday that said the boy is dealing with emotional problems and also coping as one parent battles cancer

His name hasn't been released. He could be charged with making a terrorist threat.
