SUNSET CLIFFS (CNS) - At least three people were reported to be in custody today after a suspected smuggling boat ran aground off the coast of Sunset Cliffs.
Two men and a woman were arrested after they bailed from the speed boat and tried to flee into the dark around 10 p.m. Wednesday, according to KFMB Channel 8 News.
San Diego Lifeguards responded to a call about a boat that was stuck on the reef off the coast just before 10 p.m. Wednesday. Witnesses reported seeing several people run off into the dark.
